ACHIEVE Communities: Learn more about environmental and policy approaches to address chronic diseases, including obesity. Alexandria is an ACHIEVE Community and has received a $40,000 grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Association of City and County Health Officials to begin addressing early childhood obesity.


Community Resource Database - Developed by CDC's Division of Adult and Community Health, the database includes links to hundreds of useful planning guides, evaluation frameworks, and communication materials from a variety of organizations, much of which is geared toward supporting policy changes in communities.
