Nancy Martinez, SAPCA Board Member and TC Senior, Wins Salute to Women Youth Community Services Award

This award recognizes a young woman whose service activities provide a model for other young people of the community. Over the past four years, Nancy has been a leader within SAPCA and participated in strategic planning and community events. She also serves as a Peer Advisor at Charles Houston Recreation Center where she tutors and mentors elementary-aged children

April is Alcohol Awareness Month - "Help for Today. Hope for Tomorrow."

Each April since 1987, the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) sponsors NCADD Alcohol Awareness Month to increase public awareness and understanding, reduce stigma and encourage local communities to focus on alcoholism and alcohol-related issues. SAPCA's Above the Influence Club will sponsor activities at T.C. Williams during the month of April. Join us for lively discussions about alcohol and marijuana on April 8 and April 22, 3:20 - 4:20 p.m. in Room A230. You can visit us during lunch times for fun games and prizes on April 28th, 29th and 30th.

Prescription Drug Take Back Day (4/26)

SAPCA is partnering with local law enforcement for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday April 26,  from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drop off locations are the Alexandria Police Department, 3600 Wheeler Avenue; the Del Ray Pharmacy, 2204 Mount Vernon Ave and First Baptist Church, 2932 King St. Please plan to drop off your unused prescription drugs!
