Community Meeting June 29th!

Making Connections: Education, Housing, Jobs and Health

Health is determined by more than healthcare; many other factors such as education, employment, income and wealth, housing, and public safety impact the health of individuals.  Please join Partnership members, community leaders and community members in an important discussion on the connections between education, housing and jobs with health in Alexandria. This discussion will further advance continuing efforts around the Alexandria Community Health Improvement Plan to improve the health and well-being of everyone in Alexandria. This meeting is an opportunity to learn, share, network and identify next steps in continuing to make Alexandria a great place to live, work and play.
We are excited to announce that our speakers to help us all make the connections of education, housing and jobs with health are Dr. Stephen Haering, Director, Dr. Tina Singh, Deputy Director, and Katie Leonard, Health Planner, Alexandria Health Department.
