Kick Butts Day - SAPCA joined the Coalition for Clean and Smoke Free Air, Y Street, and the Alexandria Department of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Activities for a Kick Butt's Day Kick Off in front of T.C. Williams. SAPCA Club President, Emma West; SAPCA Club Member, Cassie Cowart and Mayor Euille kicked off the event. Then, over 40 youth, supervised by adults, visited over 60 stores and conducted Operation Storefront surveys where they recorded information about tobacco and alcohol advertising - March 2013

US-Mexico Bi-National Drug Demand Reduction Policy Meeting -
Allen Lomax, SAPCA Chair and Youth Board Member, Charlotte Clinger participated in the U.S.-Mexico Bi-National Drug Demand Reduction Policy Meeting on February 24th, 2010. They were part of a drug free coalition round table that included coalitions from Fairfax and DC. Coalition representatives described how their coalitions address problems locally.

Guatemala Drug Czar Visit - May 2009
Guatemala's Drug Czar, Edgar Camargo, visited SAPCA to learn about our efforts to decrease youth substance use in Alexandria. Mr. Camargo is the Executive Secretary of the Commission Against Addiction and Drug Trafficking (SECCATID).
