Sticker Shock Kick Off (10/25)

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Project Sticker Shock Campaign. Over seventy youth, accompanied by adults, placed "STOP" stickers on multipacks of alcohol in over fifty stores throughout the City. The stickers remind adults that it is illegal to purchase alcohol for anyone under the age of 21. Check out the pictures on our Facebook page.

Youth Leadership Conference (8/18 - 8/20)

SAPCA and the Alexandria Campaign on Adolescent Pregnancy hosted the 3rd annual Alexandria Youth Leadership Conference on August 18, 19 and 20 for teens (rising ninth through twelfth graders) at the First Baptist Church, 2932 King Street. Check out the pictures on our Facebook page. 

Nancy Martinez, SAPCA Board Member and TC Senior, Wins Salute to Women Youth Community Services Award

This award recognizes a young woman whose service activities provide a model for other young people of the community. Over the past four years, Nancy has been a leader within SAPCA and participated in strategic planning and community events. She also serves as a Peer Advisor at Charles Houston Recreation Center where she tutors and mentors elementary-aged children
